About

Blog Overview:

Bunker 58 is just a place for me to post sketches, concepts, articles and pretty much anything I am working on or creating.

Personal Bio:

Might just be a very silly young man who likes coffee, steampunk, doodling and the web.

I work full-time as a baker. It impacts on my free time with a horrible urgency, stifling the room I have to work on sketches and ideas… I’m sure I’ll find more geek-friendly work some day. I’d love to be working in a job where I could learn and develop graphic skills but failing that my dream is to run my own steampunk themed internet cafe in Edinburgh or London, a web & beverage emporium if you will. Towards this end I am enjoying my time as a baker, some of those skills will be of use to me if and when I get to realise my little dream… Which if the economy is anything to go by, won’t be for a long time.

With regards to the dream, I’ve drafted a lot of ideas and spent some time on research… I know how hard running a business can be, so many concerns to take into account before you even get close to making it a reality. When it becomes a reality then the real fun and danger begins but hopefully it will not smote my ruin upon the mountainside!

Yeh, I could rule the world… But why? I just want to run a beautiful cafe, doodle and be the wonderful geek I really am.

Mistakes!

I am told off often by my grammatically superior brothers and sisters for lapses, slips and general mishaps. I’m torn between a desire to experiment (The web does provide ample opportunity for us to do wild things with language and form) and a sheepish need to play by the rules… it doesn’t help that I like writing in bursts of thought more so than the flowery paragraphs I can offer at need. (I also really like… doing… this… a lot… crazy!)

Errors are likely to sneak in on account of the time I have to make entries and how tired I am after work. I say only this, if you do spot an error that you feel warrants correction nab me over on twitter as @tompl and I’ll get round to it as soon as I possibly can.
